Here is another card that I saw and had to make. It a box card.

I made a svg file for the card. It has three main pieces the back and the front are the same size I folded both sides 1 1/2 inches in on both. I added the colored paper square on the back, the heart cut out on the front and the 2 sides on the front the middle one I folded 3/4 inch on both sides. to put together I taped the middle piece inside the back piece and the top piece to the back with the colored paper on the out side.

I saw a card like this in a book and had to try it. The snowflake is from the season cart from Creative Memories. the card is 5x5 when folded.

Here is the card folded up.

Here it is when you open it

and here it wil all the way open

I cut mine 10x5 then folded each side in 2.5 inches so each side meets in the middle

Then I glued the squares on the sides like shown and up the snowflake in the middle.

A hard Christmas This Year

My Husbands mom was on her way with his 10 year old sister to Fargo ND on a train Thursday night Friday morning and had a stroke. She had a bleed in her brain and had surgery Saturday the 24th. One of Steve's brothers flew into Spokane and him and Steve left Spokane at 11pm the 24th. and started the long drive to Fargo. the last update I had was at 11:15 the 25th that they had good roads and they were 530 miles out. Joan's surgery went good but they are not going to take the ventilator tomorrow sometime. The kids and I had a very different Christmas without Steve. but we are making the best of a bad event. we are saving the turkey for when Steve gets back and made home make pizza. Please keep us in your prayers. Steve will be bringing his sister back to go to school and will will have a small one in our house again.
Oh but did find some time to make Deanna my oldest her cup. I am glad that her and the grand kids are here for the weekend.

Scrapbook Weekend got 40 Pages done!!! :)

I went to the Tri-Citys (about a 2 hour drive from Spokane.) for a scrapbooking weekend. I have been so STRESSED at work for the last 3 weeks. Our corporate office came in and fired two more people and so now the three of us that are left are doing more work and no pay raise. I have not had time to do any thing in my crafting world becouse by the time I get home I just want to go to bed. But I did have a GREAT weekend! I got 40 pages done in my 2008 book. 2008 was the last year with my dad it is now 2 books thick and I am only in Aug. Here are some of my favorite pages. I have some cut files already posted but have a few more but can't find my thumb drive will post them as soon as I find it. thanks for stoping by.sorry the photos are not that great I took my my phone.

My three sisters and parents rented a house boat on Lake Roservelt and we joined them in our boat for a week. the houseboat had a hot tub on the top.

My youngest turned 15 that year so we had a beach party theme.

Back from Vacation

Had a nice quite vacation. We pulled our boat out and took it to Priest Lake Idaho. We have never been there and my mom's boy friend has a place there.

It was very beautiful there. we saw the mountains for one day and then there was a fire north of the lake and it was very smokey after that.

Last night was very nice we went to Fleur De Sel - Restaurant at Highland Golf Course in Post Falls ID.

GREAT food and Service!!!! We where Celebrating Dad spending his 80th Birtday with God!

We miss him so much but we know that he had a wounderful day with the Lord.

Mom and I had to stop and get a photo with the dasiys - Mom had them and pink roses in there wedding 48 years ago.

I know she misses dad alot.

Good day to all of you! I am having a up and down day. Today my dad would have been 80 years old. He left this earth and went to be with God 2.5 years ago. I miss him SOOO much! I know that we will be together someday. We (mom and 3 or the 4 of us girls) are going out for a nice dinner tonight to celebrate him being with God.
We also just got back from vacation my husband and daughter had 2.5 weeks off and I joined them for the last 1.5 week. We spent it on Lake Roosevelt . my mom and my 3 sisters and our kids where there over the last week there. so 21 of us all together. the weather was GREAT and we all got a good tan some more then others some are more red. here is the beach we had for the 2 weeks. its the only photo I have now because I cant find the cord to my camera. I took this one with my phone.

I hope to get back to crafting I have lots of photos to post and hope to get to them soon too. God Bless ya all,

I am planing on putting it on glass of a large frame. so he can but it in his dorm.

He asked for this verse to put on his wall but I think he might want to keep it afterwards. I just dont know if I should do the heart or something else or just the words

OK I had one suggestion to add a flourish so here is that one.

Ok I had 2 ideas to change the color of the heart. Jacob is going to Cal baptist university and wanted the navy blue so I change the heart. I can do the heart in a gold color to match the school colors?

Took the Grandkids to the Lilac Parade in Spokane Christian LOVED it.

He was so good we got downtown around 4:30 found a place to sit around 5:30 and the parade did not start tell 7:45 he sat there the whole time only had to find a port a potty one time.

I finshed the 40 graduation cards last week, made a few car decals for Carlie and some of her friends, and last night I made 2 ballet cards for Carlie to give to some of her friends in her dance company. I need to make a few more but its a start. I feel like I am running out of time with the graduation party May 30th, graduation June 11th, and her dance show June 18th. I hope I can get it all done. I still have decorations for the party to make and get, and finish her dance book. I was hoping to have done by the party but I dont know if that will happen. I have all the photos of this year to go.

Busy but fun weekend

Carlie was in the Apple Blossom parade in Wenatchee. She will also be in the Lilac Parade in Spokane on teh 21st.

And Christian our almost 3 year old grandson came and spent the weekend with us on the boat.

He was so good!

He caught his first fish. It was a big fresh water lingcod, they are not pretty to look at but taste realy good.

Dance Fest 2011

Carlie danced 6 dances this year at dance fest in Couer d'alene Idaho. We where there yesterday from 9am - 6pm. I just LOVE to watch her dance. Her grandma, great grandma, aunt Sharon, aunt Cheryl and cousin Katie and her great aunt Sug. came to watch. I was a little teary eyed a few times knowing that this is her last year with this group I just hope she can find a collage group that she can dance with next year. We had a very nice memorial for Tom.

And I have to show off the Grandkids they were over this weekend.

Hard Decision for Carlie

Well we had to make alot of hard decisions this last week. We went to the first parent meeting about the New York trip and a few things did not sit right with me or my husband. Then we had another death in the family and other financial responsibilitys that made us rethink things. Carlie has been a trooper though this and made the decission to not go to New York at this time. She is going to go and spend 1-2 weeks with her Uncle in San Diego this summer. She has never been to a Zoo and her Uncle is looking foward to taking her. We are so proud of Carlie for this. I know it was hard. I just wanted to THANK all who gave and wanted you to know she was very grateful. She is going to us the money she got and take a class this summer in Spokane. she said that if God wants her in New York another door will Open. and Belive that too.

It's Been a hard weekend :(

We got a call from my husbands brother that their stepdad was found on the floor and they were doing CPR to hurry over. we go there and the paramedics where working on him and could not get his heart started. It was very hard to see someone one you care about being worked on like that. So PLEASE tell those you love that you do. You never know when God might want them home.

Had a GREAT New Years Weekend !

I went to a good friends home for the long weekend. We went on a walk on friday the 31st by the Spokane river. I just have to share some of the photos I took It was a BEAUTIFUL sunny but cold day.

This is on the Spokane River by the Bowl & Pitcher At Riverside State park

And he was sitting just off the road waiting for me to take his photo

We also made 4 dozen tamales on the 1st

then on Sunday I did get some thank you cards made

I hope you all had a GREAT New Years too. I wish peace to all this next year.
